Nanjing University and Durham University deepen cooperation

On October 25, Wang Zhenlin, Vice President of NJU, met with Claire O’Malley, Vice Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Durham University, and her delegation. The two sides signed a student exchange agreement.

Wang Zhenlin warmly welcomed the guests from Durham University and briefly introduced the development of NJU’s internationalized education and the construction of Suzhou campus in recent years. He said that NJU will further exchange with Durham University in fields such as astronomy, business studies, and archaeology.

O’Malley gave an overview of Durham University, and emphasized that Durham University is promoting the research in areas such as new energy, green economy and sustainable development, soil science, and cultural heritage. She hoped that this visit could open a new chapter of cooperation between the two universities.

The meeting was presided over by Gu Cheng, Director of International Affairs Office. Representatives from NJU’s School of Management & Engineering and School of History, and Durham University Faculty of Science, Business School, and the Department of Archaeology, attended the meeting.
