Recently, Tan Tieniu, Chair of the University CPC Committee and Academician of the CAS, led a delegation to the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Prof. Adam Habib, Vice-Chancellor of SOAS, warmly welcomed the delegation.
Tan Tieniu highlighted the significant potential for cooperation between NJU and SOAS in humanities and social sciences, particularly in regional and area studies, such as the politics and economy in East Asia, and African studies.
The two sides explored the possibility of interdisciplinary studies, such as the application of artificial intelligence in humanities and social sciences.
The two parties also discussed about building joint research platforms through interdisciplinary approaches, and promoting short-term and long-term student exchange programs.
