From October 21 to 26, 2024, Tan Tieniu, Chair of the University CPC Committee and Academician of CAS, led a delegation to the UK and Finland, and to promote scientific and educational cooperation between NJU and European higher education institutions and research organizations.

The delegation visited University College London (UCL). Prof. Michael Spence, UCL President & Provost, warmly welcomed the delegation.

The two parties disscussed about establishing joint scientific research programs and a seed fund to promote the collaboration in the fields of medicine, mathematics, chemical engineering, and material science. 

They also discussed the potential  for joint teaching programs, the exchange of young scholars and the training of management personnel.
