Prof. Catherine Mulligan visits NJU for academic exchange

From October 9 to 14, 2024, Professor Catherine Mulligan, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) and the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, visited Nanjing University. Invited by Professor Zhu Honghu, she engaged in extensive academic exchanges with faculty and students. 

On Octorber 10, Professor Mulligan delivered a lecture titled "Sustainable Practices in Geoenvironmental Engineering," exploring strategies for sustainable development in geological engineering.

On October 11, Professor Mulligan conducted a one-day short course with over 100 participants, discussing key principles in geoenvironmental engineering. She also had in-depth academic discussions and exchanges with researchers and graduate students from the Institute of Earth Exploration and Sensing. Her visit provided valuable opportunities for international academic collaboration and inspired future research initiatives in the field.
