On September 24, Tan Zhemin, President of NJU, led a delegation to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a strategic partner of NJU. They held in-depth discussion with President Jenifer Mnookin and Vice Provost Frances-Vavrus on the cooperation between the two universities in the new era. Both parties agreed to continue diverse collaboration based on the solid foundation of the past 45 years and work together to adress challenges facing mankind.
Since the establishment of the strategic partnership in 2019, the two universities have achieved fruitful research and educational collaborations. They would focus on key areas to innovate cooperation models and set an example for Sino-American higher education exchanges.
On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation also held talks with the leaders fromvarious departments, research institutes and administrative offices from the University of Wisconsin, and discussed cooperation plans in detail and formulate a road map for the future multi-field and in-depth cooperation.
