On July 28, Tan Zhemin, President of Nanjing University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, met with Ian Walmsley, Provost of Imperial College London, and his delegation.

Tan Zhemin extended a warm welcome to Walmsley and his colleagues, recalling the long-standing friendly relations between Nanjing University and Imperial College London. He introduced the latest progress of Nanjing University.

Walmsley provided an update on the development of Imperial College London's new campus and outlined various initiatives to promote industry integration.

The two sides also exchanged views on scientific research in areas such as artificial intelligence, energy, environment, and sustainable development. They discussed topics including international educational cooperation and the establishment of joint laboratories.
