NJU hosts the 17th National Meeting on Fluorine Chemistry

From July 7 to 9, 2023, the 17th National Meeting on Fluorine Chemistry was held at NJU Xianlin Campus. Zhang Junfeng, Standing Member of the CPC NJU Committee and Vice President of NJU attended the opening ceremony and delivered welcome remarks.

The Meeting was co-hosted by the Organic Chemistry Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) and NJU. Professor Pan Yi from NJU served as the Honorary Chairman, and Professor Zhu Chengjian from NJU and Researcher Hu Jinbo from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry as the Chairmen. Under the theme “New Era of Fluorine Chemistry,” the Meeting included two parallel sessions. More than 500 teachers and students from over 80 universities and representatives from enterprises gathered to explore the latest advancements and discoveries in the field of fluorine chemistry.

Academician Chen Jinpei delivered a keynote speech.


During the Meeting, the CCS W. Y. Huang Fluorine Prizes were awarded.


The organizing committee also selected eight exceptional posters for recognition.


Since its establishment in 1958 by the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, the National Meeting on Fluorine Chemistry has emerged as a platform for academic exchange in the field. It has become the most significant national event for fluorine chemistry and fluorine chemical industry. The next Meeting will be held at Shanghai University in 2024.
