On September 11, the 2nd Jiangsu Conference for Industry-University-Research Cooperation and Exchange opened in Nanjing. Professor Tan Tieniu, Academician of CAS and Secretary of the CPC NJU Committee delivered a keynote speech.

Tan underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration among industries, universities, and research institutes to promote science and technology innovation. Jiangsu Province has consistently been a leading region in the realm of science and technology innovation. It is imperative that Jiangsu Province continue to make substantial progress in expanding the industrial chains, and establishing a national industrial hub for science and technology innovation.

Tan emphasized that as a prominent institution deeply rooted in Jiangsu, NJU is committed to intensifying efforts in talent cultivation, supporting the transition of driving forces of development, and promoting the industrial application of scientific and technological achievements. NJU strives to make even greater contributions to both local and national development agandas

After the conference, Tan visited the exhibition section showcasing the technology achievements of NJU. He engaged in in-depth discussions with researchers and experts. Nine talent teams from NJU presented 29 technological achievements, covering key industrial areas such as AI and electronic information.

The 2nd Jiangsu Conference for Industry-University-Research Cooperation and Exchange was hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology. It was centered around the theme of “promoting the industrial application of scientific and technological achievements, empowering development of industrial innovation.” It aimed to gather more high-end innovation resources, and foster deep collaboration between industries, universities, and research institutes.
