Tan Zhemin appointed as the president of NJU

Tan Zhemin has been appointed as the President of NJU and Deputy Secretary of the CPC NJU Committee.

On Apr. 1, NJU held a video conference for the faculty and administrative personnel. Peng Jinhui, Deputy Minister of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting to announce the appointment and delivered a speech. Wang Jiayi, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, and Shen Ying, Member of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Standing Committee and Minister of the Organization Department, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Tan Tieniu, Secretary of the CPC NJU Committee, presided over the meeting.

Officials from the Central Organization Department, the Ministry of Education, and relevant departments in Jiangsu Provincial Government attended the meeting. Members of the leadership team of NJU, veteran members who recently withdrew from the leadership team, representatives of professors, heads of schools and departments, and representatives of the faculty and staff attended the meeting.



Tan Zhemin, born in January 1965, PhD in Science, Member of the Communist Party of China, Professor, and Academician of the CAS, formerly Vice President and Executive Vice President of NJU.
