On March 25, NJU held activities themed on “Youths Forging Ahead.” Tan Tieniu, Member of the CPPCC Standing Committee, Academician of the CAS, and Secretary of CPC NJU Committee attended the event and gave a speech.
Tan expressed his hopes for NJU students: that they cultivate the spirit of cooperation, and forge ahead with the times, motherland and people; that they be tough in the face of obstacles; that they be active and responsible; and that they be outstanding.
Tan and representatives of the faculty and students jointly sounded the drum to kick off the day before joining in the activities. Zhang Junfeng, Standing Member of the CPC NJU Committee and Vice President of NJU, presented appointment letters to young teachers, students and alumni representatives as “NJU Forging Ahead Initiative Youth Lecturers”.
Representatives of young teachers and students will talk about youth and encourage each other to strive for an excellent life through keynote speeches, themed art exhibitions, and fun orienteering. Professor He Wei from the Business School, Professor Xie Lei from the Computer Science Department, Chen Ying from the Artificial Intelligence School, young alumni Xu Xuebo, Zhu Lingxi from the History Department, and Fei Jiawei from the Software School shared their experiences and responses to the “NJU Forging Ahead Initiative.”
