On April 6, Tan Tieniu, Standing Member of the CPPCC National Committee, Academician of the CAS, and Secretary of CPC NJU Committee, visited the Youth Service Hall of the NJU Youth League Committee and talked with youth representatives from NJU student organizations.
During the meeting, Tan talked with the representatives and highlighted the significance and the contributions of student unions, graduate student associations, student clubs and other youth organizations.
Tan also advised youth personnel to better themselves through serving the youth community. He encouraged them to apply stricter standards to themselves in all aspects, broaden their horizons, establish a global perspective, make efforts in deeds rather than words, and build closer bonds with their fellow students. He hoped that they can act as a bridge between department administration and their students, and that they work together to form a united force.
Representatives from the university and departmental student organizations, including student unions, graduate student associations, and student clubs, shared their personal experiences on how to better serve their fellow students.
Tan Tieniu also visited “NJU Youth Club” to learn about the students’ life and studies.
Zhang Junfeng, Standing Member of the CPC NJU Committee and Vice President of NJU, and relevant personnel participated in the meeting.
