Apr. 20, 2023 (Nanjing, China) International students at Nanjing University experienced in depths the growing strength of Chinese manufacturing and technology on the 14th Chinese Language Day. Students at advanced level Chinese classes of the Institute for International Students, from Amenia, Australia, Germany, Korea, Mexico and the United States, paid visit to Nanjing Vocational Institute of Railway Technology and CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co., Ltd.

During their first stop at Nanjing Vocational Institute of Railway, students learned the over a century’s history of development of railway construction in Jiangsu Province at the Institute’s renowned museum, posed for pictures by various styles of train carriages at the unique theme park on campus, and experimented on driving and taking a one to one ratio subway train at the training laboratory.

On the afternoon, students visited the enormous workshop of CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co., Ltd., where high-tech trains for metro or inter-city high-speed lines were manufactured and sent to different parts of the world.

The immersive experience of Chinese, as the students put it in the interview, impressed all of them deeply in that they not only learned the language of Chinese in a wider dimension, but also gained a deeper understanding of the culture and modernization of the country.
