On the afternoon of March 13, Yuri Mazei, Vice President of Lomonosov Moscow State University (LMSU) led a delegation to NJU Xianlin Campus. Ding Aijun, Assistant to the President of NJU, had a discussion with the guests. The meeting was attended by representatives from the School of Geography and Ocean Science, the Department of Mathematics, the Department of Russian at the School of Foreign Studies, and the International Affairs Office.

Ding extended a warm welcome to Vice President Mazei and the delegation, and introduced the latest developments of NJU, especially in talent cultivation, academic research, campus construction, and international engagement. He highlighted NJU's longstanding dedication to international cooperation, and recent initiatives aiming at enhancing international exchanges among scholars and students. The faculty and students of Lomonosov Moscow State University are welcome to participate in these programs.
Mazei expressed gratitude for the warm reception at NJU. He recognized NJU's contributions to higher education in China and the world. He articulated LMSU’s intent to promote comprehensive cooperation with NJU, particularly in mathematics, regional studies, geography, oceanography, climate change, and student mobility. Additionally, Mazei extended an invitation to NJU to participate in the BRICS Global University Summit and LMSU's 270th anniversary events.
The year 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, which provides new opportunities for cooperation between the two universities. The delegation also visited the School of Geography and Ocean Science for academic exchanges.
