NJU international students join a roundtable discussion on BRI

On October 15, 2023, 15 international students at NJU from different countries and regions, such as Congo-Brazzaville, Pakistan, and Chile, gathered to share their experiences and insights on “the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).” These students are pursuing their education in various schools and departments at NJU. This event was organized by Nanjing University Graduate Students’ Union and NJU Youth League.

To kick off the discussion, the participants watched a video titled “Embarking on the Journey of the Belt and Road Initiative - Exploring New Transformations in Connectivity.” The video illustrated the five cooperation priorities of BRI, including policy coordination, infrastructure connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, and closer people-to-people ties.

Then the international students shared their personal experiences, particularly focusing on how their education had been positively impacted by the BRI. They also conveyed their outlook and hopes for the future of the BRI, emphasizing that creating a more inclusive, interconnected, and prosperous world would benefit people worldwide.
