From December 9 to 17, a recruitment team from NJU embarked on a visit to esteemed universities and research institutes in France, Belgium, and Germany to introduce NJU to scholars and students there, with the aim of attracting some talents to join the NJU faculty.
Among Chinese universities, NJU is renowned for its active engagement in international exchange and cooperation. It has established partnerships with numerous world-class universities and prestigious scientific research institutes. During the recent visit, NJU received significant attention and warm welcome from several partner universities in Europe.
At Paris Hi-Tech, productive discussions were held regarding the operation of multiple campuses and the enhancement of international courses and inter-school exchanges for undergraduates. The focus is on further expanding the existing cooperation on master programs.
During the visit, the recruitment team from Nanjing University engaged in fruitful discussions with several distinguished European scholars.
At the University of Leuven in Belgium, the team provided a comprehensive overview of the construction progress and disciplinary framework at NJU at Suzhou. The exchange activities saw the participation of over 20 scholars and student representatives from the University of Leuven and the Interuniversity Microelectronics Center (IMEC).
With the support of the Chinese-German Chemical Association, the presentation of NJU was held at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz.
This visit marks the first time that a Chinese university has conducted overseas recruitment since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, providing an opportunity for the academic community in mainland Europe to learn about the supportive and inclusive environment of NJU and Suzhou.
